Changes in the appearance of teeth

Veneers
After tooth
preparation, a thin tooth coloured porcelain shell is bonded over the front of
the tooth. Veneers are an excellent way of treating misshapen teeth, discoloured
teeth or filling in small gaps between teeth when you don’t wish to have
orthodontic treatment.
Teeth whitening (There 2 methods of teeth whitening
offered.)
Britesmile is a one hour in chair teeth whitening system. It’s no
mess no fuss. There is nothing for you to do at home unless you wish to purchase
a maintenance kit. The alternative is a take home kit. We fabricate trays that are specifically designed for your
mouth. You would wear the trays for 1 ˝ hrs a day for 2-3 weeks for optimum
results. During these weeks Dr Andersons will review your progress and check the
health of your gums.
** Any dental restoration will NOT change colour

Crown and Bridge
Crowns are
often the best way to repair a weakened tooth, whether it be weakened due to a
large filling, cavity or because the tooth has had root canal therapy.
Porcelain crowns are matched to the shade of
your surrounding teeth and placed over your natural crown that is shown above
the gum. Dependant on the treatment required, Dr Anderson can offer a porcelain
fused to gold crown or a Cerec ceramic crown to Sydney Patients. Both are very
strong and tooth coloured.
Bridges are just one of the options in
offered to replace one or more missing teeth. They consist of an artificial
porcelain crown anchored on either side by natural teeth that have had crowns
placed on them as well. This option is also available with one or more missing
teeth. However sometimes dental implants may be a better option.
